  • Grief Gear: Adding to Our Tool Belts for Life and Loss
The St Mark deacon caregivers are starting a new program with Pastor Sean Butler to inform and support men who have experienced or are experiencing loss. This program will begin as a monthly gathering of men to learn about new ways to understand and grow in their grief process. The program is designed for men of all ages that are experiencing loss in their life. This experience of loss may be in the loss of a job or divorce, the death of a wife or a child, and loss of health or any of the many other ways a person has cause to grieve.

Everyone knows you have to have the right tools to fix any broken appliance, car, or structure. The same can be true for our lives as well. Sometimes we need to add to life’s “tool belt” so that we have the matching tools for the job to be done. When we are faced with both challenging and life changing losses, everybody can use some new or refreshed tools to help work through these tough times. We at St. Mark want to contribute to this process.
Please join us for our first gathering on Tuesday, September 13th at 10:30 AM at St. Mark. Also, so you men can plan ahead, our second meeting will be October 11th at 10:30 AM at the Lone Wolf Cafe on the Southwest corner of Clayton and Kehrs Mill.
