LIBRARY CORNER

In the 200 to 210 section of the Library are books dealing with general religion. Among them are:
Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis which is “one of the most beloved introductions to Christian faith ever written.” It brings together Lewis’ broadcast talks during the war years (WW II), and is a powerful, rational case for the Christian faith.
Can You Believe in God and Evolution? A Guide for the Perplexed by Ted Peters and Martinez Hewlett answers questions such as: How can we equip Christians so they have a confident faith when talking about evolution? Who is Charles Darwin and what did he actually say? Does teaching evolution corrupt our social values?
When Christians Get It Wrong by Adam Hamilton - “Following Jesus can be more about open doors that locked fences, more about serving people than judging them, more about joyful living than angry fighting.” This book may be controversial, but worth investigating.
The Christians As The Romans Saw Them by Robert Louis Wilken offers an engrossing portrayal of the early years of the Christian movement from the perspective of the Romans.
These books are available on the book cart outside the Adult Library.
