Congregational Nominating Committee 2012
Your 2012 Congregational Nominating Committee has begun the process of identifying those members of our congregation who feel called to serve God next year through a leadership role at St Mark. The folks that we will be nominating are as follows:ELDERS: (5 adults + 1 under 25 years of age)DEACONS: (6 adults + 1 under 25 years of age)NOMINATING COMMITTEE: (4 adults + 1 under 25 years of age)ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE: (2 adults)
As we thoughtfully and prayerfully approach this work, we need your help. If you feel that God is calling you to one of these positions, or if you know of other qualified individuals who may be willing to serve in one of these roles, we would like to hear from you. The easiest way to convey this information to us is by filling out the online form located at the bottom of this page. Or you can fill out one of our Nominating Forms which are available at the Welcome Center. Completed forms can be given to any committee member or returned to the box at the Welcome Center no later than March 18.This year’s Nominating Committee members are John Northrip, Nancy Sutch, Nina Collier, Alice Crippen, Steve Drake, Marie Holt, Jon Huizenga and Tanner Meyer. (Paraphrased)Responsibilities of St. Mark Board of Deacons include regular attendance at stated meetings (first Monday of the month) and any specially called meetings, serving as chairperson or active member of a Deacons committee, visitation and delivery of altar flowers, and assisting with the Lord’s Supper.Three year term (one year term for the under 25 years of age Deacon).For Deacon, I suggest:
