A native of Knoxville, Tennessee; Latisha Gilliland has served as Children’s Minister and Children’s Choir director in some of the US and Canada’s premier churches. She has been a featured vocalist and pianist on religious television programs in North America and has directed/produced over 40 large-scale musical productions.

Latisha received her Bachelor of Music degree in piano from the University of North Florida and her teaching certification from the University of Missouri and has often performed as a collaborative pianist in a number of musical settings including choir, orchestra and competition.

Latisha’s church ministry has focused on biblical literacy and Christian worldview for children and youth; often in multi-cultural settings with carefully chosen curriculums, bible-themed musicals and planned-outcome programming as keys to success. She believes that growing churches must constantly check their own pulse to make sure what is being offered is relevant and difference-making in the lives of the congregation. She is excited to be at St. Mark’s to join the quest in developing fully devoted followers of Christ!

Latisha and her husband Doug have 3 grown children; all involved in full-time church ministry. Her hobbies include gardening, teaching piano and enjoying her grandsons Levi and Zion.
