“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near”

(Isaiah 55:6.)

We believe God invites every person into a lifelong journey of seeking. St. Mark does this through worship, prayer, education, Scripture, fellowship, and community. The church encourages this by asking honest questions, wrestling with doubt, and remaining open to where the Holy Spirit is leading us. Faith is not about having all the answers; it’s about faithfully pursuing the One who claims us in the baptismal waters, equips us for ministry, and calls us to bear the light of Christ in the world.

“When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart”

(Jeremiah 29:13.)

We believe that as we seek, we discover the grace, truth, and love of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Through taking the Word of God seriously, celebrating the sacraments faithfully, and experiencing life together, we discover better who God is and who God is calling us to be. These discoveries allow us to accept forgiveness and to forgive others, to work for reconciliation in our communities, and to model God’s covenantal love to all of our neighbors.

“Go therefore and make disciples… and remember, I am with you always”

(Matthew 28:19–20.)

We believe that faith is meant to be lived out and shared with everyone. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we share God’s love through service, compassion, and generosity. We are called to witness the Kingdom of God revealed in God’s Word and to bear witness to God’s mighty acts in our own lives. Every service concludes with the charge to, “Go out and be the church.” We do this best by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and our full selves with others.

Our Church

St. Mark Presbyterian Church, founded in 1962, is a growing congregation in West St. Louis County, Missouri. We are building on our 50 year history of serving God. We are a neighborhood church — mission-minded — with a strong commitment to sharing God’s love with our neighbors and our world. Preschoolers, youth, adults, senior citizens and everyone in between find St. Mark a welcoming place to serve, learn and grow. Come join us in our journey of faith!

God calls St Mark Presbyterian Church to be a vibrant, open, diverse community of faithful, active believers. Through Spirit-filled worship, passion for God’s Word, and joyful work in service to others, we demonstrate the new life given in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our Mission

God calls St. Mark Presbyterian Church to transform lives in Jesus Christ. Relying on the Holy Spirit, we create a caring community through worship that inspires, learning that leads to responsible living and service that meets the needs of others. We commit ourselves to Christ’s Great Commission “…to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded” (Matthew 28:19-20). Rejoicing in our faith we invite everyone to share in Christ’s ministry of hope.
